Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ My name is Daniyal Ibrahim

Professional Summary

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Telematics from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, Germany. During my academic tenure, I acquired proficiency in software development, utilizing a diverse set of programming languages including Go, Python, Java, and TypeScript. Additionally, my curriculum encompassed comprehensive studies in Algorithms & Data Structures, Robotics, Distributed Computation and Storage, Telecommunications, and Facility Automation. I also undertook minor credit point modules pertaining to business and IT Law. I speak English, German and Urdu.

With a background in software development, I've transitioned into the role of a DevOps Engineer, focusing on automating processes and enhancing cybersecurity, particularly within cloud environments. I have gained valuable experience in scaled agile projects, where I've learned incident and response management, security best practices, as well as disaster recovery strategies.

In my current position as a DevOps Engineer, I'm deeply passionate about automating infrastructure and configuring cloud environments. Despite not having a decade-long tenure, my dedication and commitment to excellence have earned recognition from my peers. Moreover, I've had the privilege of being given opportunities to impart my knowledge through knowledge transfer sessions with my colleagues.

I've had the privilege of overseeing the deployment and maintenance of observability stacks, networking and Kubernetes resources and DevOps practices. My proficiency extends to a range of technical tools and platforms such as GitHub CI/CD, Gitlab CI, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Bash, Linux, among others. Furthermore, I've served as a support resource for developer teams, providing guidance and expertise in DevOps practices. Nevertheless, I still have the habit of programming software as a hobby, because as DevOps Engineer I am mostly doing configuration rather than programming at work.

Personal Statement

DevOps by profession, Software Developer by training, and Tech researcher by curiosity.

In the dynamic realm of production support automation, monitoring tools emerge as the guardians of operational excellence. Their prowess lies in the ability to gather, dissect, and present a panorama of dataโ€”encompassing application health, system status, and infrastructure performance. With their watchful gaze, they're the first line of defense. They decipher anomalies, uncover trends, and sound the alarm at the faintest hint of trouble. In this orchestration of vigilance, tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, and Datadog shine as sentinels, empowering us to foresee and thwart issues before they disrupt our users' experience.
